Is there a way to submit a bug request for the program just to see if there is an answer to this question? (Because apparently the PS people have no interest in even trying to reproduce the bug on their end. If anyone else wants to read my exchange with them for amusement factor feel free.)

Hello there,
I have already weighed in on your issue. Did you miss my post.

Basically Copy and paste is a OS feature. If you follow the steps in my previous post it should fix your issue. If you still have issues after you apply the fix, then you would need to reach out to Microsoft. Wish there was more we could do! It just is not something we have control over.
Let us know how it goes.

I saw it and replied to it. Half of that link applied to touchpads on a laptop of which I am not on. The other part I actually did before coming on here and nothing. I am going to get on my friend Mac and try this. I don't think this is a Windows issue.
Why can't I seem to get anyone else to try this out for themselves? The PS guy wouldn't try it on Coffeecup and it seems the coffeecup guys don't wanna duplicate it with PS.
Is this how things are done in the software world?

I don't think it's that people won't try it out, I would but I haven't got PS installed at present. I am a photography anorak but I think PS Is the worst designed program I've used regarding Photography and Mockups and is dying as regards mockups so designers are not using it as much now as they were a few yrs ago when it was the in thing.

Just to for the sake of it, Have you, or anybody else, tried pasting the code from PS to DW? They are from the same company, and they should be working hand in hand, really. And also, if 'Paste' is greyed out, have you tried Ctrl + V?
Ha en riktig god dag!

I have tested it.

So here is some interesting info from the HTML Kit forums where I asked the same question:
I tried his suggestion to paste the code is as Unicode in their program and it worked. So maybe this is a weird limitation in certain HTML editors. Make sense to anyone else who knows more about that kinda stuff than me?
What seems to be happening is that the "Copy CSS" function is copying to
the Windows clipboard in Unicode text format (CF_UNICODETEXT) instead of
a combination of CF_UNICODETEXT and CF_TEXT when possible.
More about Windows clipboard formats from the source:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library … 85%29.aspx
Programs without native support for Unicode, such as HTML-Kit 292 and
most likely the other editors you've tried, might not see that clipboard
content.

Not testing it at the moment, but have you tried the suggestion a few posts down and using ctrl+v to paste or are you only trying to right click and paste from the menu? I've pasted from a lot of places in a lot of html editors and never had an issue, but that doesn't mean I may not have pasted from one of the programs that doesn't paste well lol.
Anyways, let us know if that works for you or not. Good to know on the info about why though too.

Yah I tried both. I only use keyboard shortcuts when I can so ctrl+V is the first thing I tried. The folks at the PS forum saw this info and went "Oooooh yah that's probably it." but followed it up with "I can't believe that in this day and age there are applications that don't support unicode" so maybe in a future fix it will all be kosher.
Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
