Giving the people what they want is fundamentally and disastrously wrong. The people don’t know what they want. They want to be entertained, that’s all. Don’t give the people what they want – give ‘em something better!

Hi Don,
Nice to have you on here, I'm sure you will learn a lot. When you say coaching football, do you mean American football or proper football? :D

Hiya Don and welcome to the forums, hope to see you more and soon as a registered user. Web building is a lot of fun and CC programs make it pretty easy to do what you need to do. Check out the programs and see which one(s) fit your needs. They all have free trial periods with fully functional trials so you can always be sure it's what you want and need before you spend a dime. Have fun with it :)

Hello everyone. My name is Rick Owens and I am the new kid on the CC block. I own and operate RhettRO Creative Web Design in Midland, Texas. I am a Paramedic Clinical Instructor who got into television as a way to feel alive and help relieve the numbness that witnessing too much trauma can leave on your soul. I lean heavily into the motion graphics side of things and became proficient with the Adobe Creative Suite (now into version 5.) After Effects and Photoshop seem to be my two biggest tools. I have also spent serious time learning Dreamweaver and Microsoft Expression.

I was laid off from my television job a few years ago and decided that since I had been designing websites for friends and myself that I would jump into the world of web design on a full time basis and open myself up to anyone else who needed custom web design. I needed an edge so we became the home of the 3 page custom website for only $199.00 company, and began advertising through Google Adwords. Since then, I have been able to remain fairly busy and have designed websites for clients from Hawaii to New Jersey.

Currently I am teaching myself database design and let me tell you it is no small task. The web is constantly evolving and I want to be in the thick of it at all times.

I'm glad to be here.

Welcome Pixelpusher,

When I was in the emergency medical profession, there was a saying: Those who can't do teach, and those who can't do or teach, evaluate.

It's a young man's job. You get too old to carry huge people up and down stairs. :)
CoffeeCup... Yeah, they are the best!

Hi..I am John from Data Storage Systems, Inc. in Mpls, MN. We are in the data protection and data storage networking business. I am the owner and as part of my many duties, creating and maintaining the web site is very high on my list of priorities.

Even though, I sell and support data storage solutions, I am by know means someone who is fluent running lots of different applications. I learned everything from scratch and go thru owners manuals like crazy. About 10 years ago, we got on board with a web site and wanted to purchase the domain name Data Storage Systems. Alas, that was not to be as someone bought the domain rights and is holding the domain name hostage. That was my first experience into web design and creation. We first have to get the domain name right. So I settled on shortening the domain name and for the last 8 yrs or so our web site address is http://www.datastoragesys.com

At first we used MS Front Page but Microsoft quit supporting that product and a few years ago, I found CoffeeCup VSD and invested. I like the easy to use features providing me with benefits of $$$ and time saved in creation. I have also come to appreciate the support I recieve from CoffeeCup. My site is quite large (over 250 HTML pages) and I have had some issues. Each time, I had a issue pop up, I was supported by the CoffeeCup Team. Sometimes the issues were created by "the loose nut" at the keyboard (meaning myself) and other times issues were legit and resolved.

I believe CoffeeCup VSD as well as many of their other solutions provide the best in value and performance. I hope you like it as much as I !
