Good evening fellow Coffeecupers!

I was wondering if anyone was successful in implementing structured data into their SD project. I am trying to boost my SEO just a little bit more but could not find anything helpful in the forums already to assist with adding this to my SD projects.

Thanks in advance with any guidence.

I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

Please forgive me if the question was looking for something more technical.

In SD one clicks on the Page Manager button, or selects Page Manager in the Actions menu. The box that appears has three buttons at the top; clicking on the middle one (Structure Data) takes you to the facility. One can also reach it by the Actions menu > Structure Data.

Hi Frank,

Yea i was playing around in there but couldn't seem to figure out how to attach the structured data tag to a specific header. For example I wanted to add a product tag to Logo Design header. I click the product tag from structured data and it looks like it cycles and does nothing. I select the Header first then goto structured data in Page Management and it deselects and puts me back in the manager.

I know how to add them manually but it would be great to know how to implement them in SD so i don't have to edit post export.

I haven't ever done that, but it should be easy to do it within SD without manual editing after export. I find the following useful for all sorts of things that would otherwise need such post-export editing.

1. I wrap the element in a container
2. I right click on that container and choose 'Copy Element HTML'.
3. With the container still selected I go to the Element Panel's Content Code box and paste there what I'd just copied.
4. In that box I remove the outer tags of the container, and edit the element there.

Of course one could just do it by using an HTML element and manually remaking the element, but the above retains all the styling of the original element.

To illustrate, I attach a ludicrously simple example. Previewing the source code in a browser will show what happens.

I wrote the above post to keep the steps simple and to make clear what's happening.

It will, of course, quickly be realised that one can achieve the same result by doing step 2 with the element itself, and then pasting the result in the Content Code box of the container. That saves removing the outer tags in step 4.
