I'm experiencing serious issues with symbols. Every time I make a change to a symbol, it duplicates itself on all the other pages except on the page I make the changes. For example I made 9 changes to a Symbol on the home page, now it appears nine times on all the other pages.

This happened on all pages linked to this symbol, I have now removed the symbol from all page except 2 should you want me to post the RSD file for you to look at.

It basically renders Symbols useless as it would be faster for me to copy and paste what I need on each page than to delete the duplication's from each page.

Hi There

I have uploaded a video of the symbol duplicating itself to better demonstrate the problem I mentioned below:

We are working on a new release that should be ready later today. It should address the issues of Symbols and the Page Manager not properly duplicating a page.

Keep an eye out for the new version.

I agree! Outstanding support.

1.Reports software issue.
2.Get instant response.
3.Fix within 24 hours or less

Tell me where else you could get that level of support from ANY software company out there!

Same happened to me today when adding a new page. Lost a pile of work when it overwrite an existing page. Looks like the filename is not being updated in some variable. I duped the page, edited it, saved it. All OK. Opened another page and made changes to it and RSD overwrote the page that had been duplicated, losing all the changes to the new page. Annoying.

Can you provide the exact steps to replicate that Geoff?

Hi Scott. It was before I discovered that there was a new version released this week, which I subsequently installed to continue editing. I haven't tried the sequence I described again yet. Will let you know if I can replicate the problem in the new version.

Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
