Thanks again for all the suggestions.

Hi Frank, I regularly use Scrolla animation on my websites but this didn't turn out to be the culprit. Having rebuilt the project to the same stage, whilst checking every time I added something new, I believe that the problem was caused by a 'Reveal Modal' component I had imported from the library. I had initially intended using this but not happy with the result I changed my mind and decided to use sub-pages instead. Despite removing the component from the project I can only assume that some code must have remained which blocked the links from working.

It's A Kind Of Magic - Always appreciate your input as you know!! :D

Hi Jeremy.

Thanks for reporting back regarding your finding the cause of the original problem. It may well help the next person who hits a similar difficulty.

Regards,
Frank

Further update on this. It appears adding a simple 'Smooth Scroll' script to the sub-pages also blocks the links from working.

The smooth scroll attribute I believe should be given to the trigger link, I do it many times on projects, seems to work for me, as long as the page is long enough to scroll.
Very strange situation you seem to be experiencing

Hi Jeremy,
Try doing ctrl + shift + i in Firefox and check for any errors.
Otherwise can you share a link to page with the issue?
I can't hear what I'm looking at.

Have you tried doing an 'out of view' setting on the container that you want the scroll to happen, or you could try the 'intercept-observer' thing using js and css, that's pretty neat too, a bit old fashioned nowadays but still reliable and pretty east to implement
