A few bugs - Post ID 282075

I've been using SD3 for a few months now (love it by the way), and seem to be encountering a few bugs. They're relatively small, but still a concern.

For example, I'm having a few issues when attempting to stylise specific text within a paragraph. 1. It doesn't always respond and accept the changes I've made, 2) It often forgets the class I've assigned to the text, 3) If I select a class I've previously used, it does not update and styles, 4) When I select the entire paragraph, it shows a summary of classes I've used, and only the main class (which governs the paragraph as a whole) is correct. The remainder are generic (i.e. 'paragraph-text-1'), 5) If I reselect specific text which I have just managed to stylise, it does not show the governing class anymore.

One final note, I wish you could opt to make the site responsive from desktop down, rather than mobile up. I find it easier to take away from my design than add to as the viewpoint expands.

Desktop Down:
In the Theme Chooser there are two Vanilla options: VanillaCSS Mobile First and VanillaCSS Desktop Down, which, as Wayan says, is the one to go for if Desktop Down is wanted.

Styling specific text within a paragraph:
I would suggest that, if time permits, Bainn report the problems in My Support Room along with a video to illustrate them.

There seem to be some things less simple than I initially expected regarding such styling. For example, Text Edit Mode has two sections, (a) Inline Elements and (b) Text Formatting.
If I use the Inline Tag in (a), there is no automatic insertion of a class name, and, if I type one in, trying to reuse it gets ignored. If, however, I style using facilities in (b) an automatic class name is shown. If I replace that automatic class name with one of my own, I can re-use it, alter the styling for that class name etc. with full effect on all the items using that class name. In other words, it seems to me that class names in (b) affect only changes made manually by the user in (b) (even though Inline Tag changes in (a) may well show changes in the Format section of (b))

If you choose the vanilla options you won't have access to the bootstrap or foundation frameworks, though. So if you use one of those usually it may not be a good option. Both of those frameworks are mobile first so I don't think there would be an easy way to switch them.

It is the first action when starting a new project. The theme may be selected in one of the following ways:
1. when one starts the program to create a new project, the Theme Chooser appears automatically;
2. while the program is running, ome can go to the Theme Chooser via
(a) the main menu File > New from Theme (or in Windows Ctrl+Shift+N)
(b) the paint-roller icon (Themes) in the row (Themes, Components, Resources etc.) near the top of the program window.
