Actually, Jo Ann, I have fixed in the list mode and it worked great. Next time I use it, I will see if it happens again. But I thought someone should be aware that this happened. Someone without my experience would have told the creators where to stick it. LOL

I noticed a find button on top of the editor. Is it for a later date? It is a long way to the top. The short cut is fine, but ctrl+f is a long way apart for these 60 year old hands. LOL

Thanks Bo

That's interesting that you say that badbo, I never noticed it before, but I did get it to work. The only problem is that it seems to only work for html pages. I tried .js, .xml, .txt and none of them allow the find to work, but the .html does so that helps a little. Would be nice to know why it only works for that though.

Be nice if the find button worked on everything not just html. I open lots of PHP files everday. I would be there are lots of people like me. And one more thing would be nice is for the directory folders to be on the top instead of files. Still I like it.

Just click the category "Name" above your files and order it that way. You can set the order of your files any way you like by clicking any of the buttons above each column. Many people aren't aware that the column names are actually buttons that are clickable. This allows you to reorder it by whatever button you click.
This is also the same in almost any other Windows window also, Windows Explorer, most programs that have columns, etc.

I tend to like mine ordered so that the most recently changed item is at the top so I don't have to find the files they are always at the top for me to grab and send to my server. Server side I usually have ordered alpha so the directories are at the top though :)

Thanks that did the trick, I prefer the directories at the top. Uploading and downloading thousands of files a day it is just better for me. Can anyone tell me what the files do when you upload or download them. Do they get replace, overwritten or just do nothing when the file is already in the directory. Would be nice if it would ask to overwrite, replace, skip or tell me to mess Off. LOL!!!!

Thanks bo

Hiya again badbo,

You can set your preference for what you want the files to do actually.

Go to Edit >> Preferences
And on the FTP tab you'll see the setting there at the bottom in radio buttons that you can choose how you want it to handle the file exchanges. :)
