I keep getting error message. ISP says thing are OK at their end. Error message - There was a problem receiving data across the network. Check your system for firewalls and antivirus programs that may be blocking the program's network access. You could also try to change the Passive mode setting for this server. [56] Additional information: Recv failure: Connection was reset Spent hours on this and am getting no where.

Many web hosts that have encountered require that you have Passive Mode selected. That would be the first thing I would look at.

Did you know that Web Form Builder can be used for both simple and complicated forms and that it's not limited to the default fonts and buttons? Take a look at a form we developed for WindowTinting.com.

I contacted the ISP or Host and they showed that their end was working. The problem turns out to be Norton anti-virus. Norton block incoming TCP traffic by controlling Windows 10 firewall. You have to make an exception in Norton for a program to receive TCP data.
See attached file on how to allow an FTP program access.
The one thing that the gentleman from SadDuck.com (who supplied the information on how to allow FTP Direct access through Norton) does not mention is that Norton doesn't take the changes you make until you restart the computer. The simple restart bit drove me nuts.

My "Windows Defender" keeps blocking my ftp and also the online editor uploads, even if I shut it off, even if I set it for "passive mode" no matter what I do Windows Defender blocks everything. How can it be totally shut off? I already have an antivirus and Internet defender program. I shut if off, and it turns itself on again.
