I know the location "x,y" of an object is shown on the bottom right of the screen. It would be nice to have this information in the object properties box and be able to enter the x,y location where you want the object to appear.
It would look something like this....

Hi;
I'd like to see a 'rel=' tag in the link section , maybe above the 'page on this website'.
I am using Jquery with scripting in a html object. To make an embedded (sub) html page show with the jquery overlay, I have to create an image , save the VSD project and then open the project using HTML editor, look for the image, if I can find a reference to it , then add the rel='#overlay' to the img tag.
Using the workaround above is messy and time consuming. If I open it as a VSD project the img tag is re-written with the VSD format and I loose the relative link.
Having the ability to relativly link to the embeded html code internally with VSD would open up a lot of new possiblities , I'd also be able to link using shapes, buttons and text.
Alternativly, if there was a way of VSD not overwritting code created with html editor, would be as good.
Thanks for the great software anyway, its given me so much creative ability and unique sites.

I think the option to load website from server would be a great idea as you could then work from multiple workstation a lot easyer. The .VSD file is uploaded to the server the surely it wouldnt be to hard to program this option in????

Has anyone mentioned the ability to lock down objects?
In photoshop I can lock the background or any layer so it won't get changed or moved unless I unlock it.
I have a site where part of my page has a light color background. I want to be able to click on objects with in that shaded section and move them without also highlighting the background shading object. If it is locked down, it makes it easier.
Just a thought.

I think there should be an "apply to all pages" feature for certain edits. Say I add a page that I want to be accessed from the menu, then I can select and paste over the new menu (links and all) and have it apply to all the other pages with that menu.
I have a simple change. Could the extension of a page be changed in the software to php. I know I could specify a htaccess file to force the browser to look for php scripts but changing the extension would be great. Presently I have to change it manually and that detracts from the ease of VSD and uploading a working site. I also realise this would only apply to non S_Drive hosting. But VSD does upload to other hosts superbly. I believe this would add another bit of icing to the cake.

Prism, great idea! I'd like to see that as an option in the Page Settings (save page as html or php) as well as Standard Settings so one could choose php as an option for all pages as well.
Heidi, a lot of us would like to see locking for objects – also layers (with an option to lock)

VSD is truly great ! Took a while to pick it up (lack of time), but once into it, it really rocks!
Here are a few items for the wish list:
- The possibility to rotate text inside an object
- Insert a graphic/symbol/line inside a text block
- Some more general purpose symbols, arrows, smileys etc.etc.
- Be able to make 2 links type, to set color etc. separate. Now, if one use links for menu items, and color them according to setup scheme, ALL links are treated the same. Menu links might have a diff. background, and making btn. for menu links are not always desirable.
- Be able to make dropdown lists or other selection components

Very generous of you, Prism! I already have/use your Open Page program, so I won't be greedy!
Having easy access to some PHP functionality would allow for some of the things VSD users have been asking for already; master pages could be created, and/or headers, footers, menus. It would be easy for site contributors to update page sections based on PHP includes. Flexible, fast sites in a snap
Jan, having a text-link color option apart from the general link color option would be very handy.
