The first thing I wanted to do was add a menu bar and noticed there's either no easy way to do it or it's very well hidden. Maybe make this a little more obvious. Right off the bat, due to this, I considered this a waste of my money. All websites will need a menu bar. I thought this would be listed among elements...maybe in the "Interaction" section?
Yea...as Inger points out, during beta not everything is 100% there, some things are in progress or being tested (by smaller groups) still. Hence the discounted price
Now worries though, they will be there along with a bunch of other components like dropdowns, cards, auto-responsive card columns and so on.
Here's a file that will already allow you to start working with some of these components (incl a responsive navigation). Just double-click to open it in Bootstrap Builder. You can find the components on the Content pane by clicking on the Components tab:

These little sneak peeks are fine, Bob. They make our mouth water...
With your support and step by step we can make something really fantastic
ems are changed by hundredths
percent by tenths
many other settings by integers
vw by hundredths
the modifier keys would let use adjust settings much faster but still let us use the arrow buttons for adjustments.
I would like the export to be proper xml. At least the meta and img tags are not properly closed. They should be closed with />. I want to use this as the base for a page that will be processed by a templating engine such as thymeleaf.
Hey Mike, not sure what you mean... Bootstrap Builder is generating clean and proper code. The meta tag and img tag (inside the picture element) follow the specifications as you can see here and here.
I'm just starting to use the BETA so sorry if I'm missing stuff here but aside from the Bootstrap grid classes, I can't actually see how integrated Bootstrap is? E.g. are the standard Bootstrap elements there somewhere.
For example, shouldn't all the items here be listed on the "elements" or components tab? http://getbootstrap.com/components/
From what I can see, I have to manually create the divs, then manually apply the Bootstrap classes.
Shouldn't I just be able to drag on a panel, or a jumbotron etc. and have the structure there?
The class list should also be appropriate for the element. E.g. if I select a form, it should show the options for inline, horizontal etc.
Also I was surprised that for components that bootstrap has styles for (e.g. form elements?), the styles aren't automatically applied. To add a form input, I have to drag it on from the elements box, then set the style to "form-control".
Let me know if I've missed how this works...?
Also, I am licenced to use themes.getbootstrap.com - would be nice to have these 3 frameworks integrated too, as they have some minor expansions to the platform - e.g. with entrance animations etc.
Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
