What if the menu is fixed to the top?

I cannot experiment with it right now, as I have to be on my machine with SD4 installed for a bit, to do some work. Later, when I can swap to my other machine, I will see if I'm able to do something.

I appreciate your insights and the mockup.

I am referring to the user experience. I don't care if it's visible in development mode.

I have a site with 6 pages linked to the 6 menu items. When the site is launched in mobile mode, I would like the menu to be closed - with this library component it loads opened. I can't for the life of me figure out how to launch the page with the menu closed.

Figuring that out would resolve both of my issues, because each new page would load in the same way - with the menu closed.

Peace!

if your menu is open at mobile devices when viewed live then that's wrong and we need looking at the project file to see what you have done that makes it be open on loading for the user BCS the default is the menu is closed

I don't actually fully understand what's going on but try this
at the lowest breakpoint (to the left a little bit)
select the container with the ID = view menu
In the "Styles" area
move on down to the tab "layout"
slide over to the tab "more" ~~~~ "select " should read none

if it doesn't then open the dropdown bit & select "none"

move the canvas slider up to just past the first default breakpoint and change the
select thingy to BLOCK
these show the component straight from the library so to speak

showing it live

I resolved the issue.

I changed the view-menu.menu-wrapper Layout Display from "None" to "Block"

Changing it back to None fixed the issue and it works fine now.

I resolved and then read your post... Great minds think alike!

Thanks for the input!

I think we must have been speaking at cross purposes here. The component right from the 'shelf' has the container '#view-menu .menu-wrapper' set to display: none before the first breakpoint and to display: block after it. You seem to have set it back to what it originally was. I, for my part, thought you meant something different. Oh well, if you have got it the way you wanted it, then all is well.
