Inger, this is what I received. It appeared that it was almost complete, but then this message popped up:

error 1316 network error while attempting to read from the file C:/programs files (x86)\Common files Wise\ Installation Wizard\GLC205F.tmp

How do we know who you are when you change your name?

Are you able to navigate to your control panel and uninstall it from there?

Or, if you have Ccleaner (google it, it's free) installed, will that let you uninstall it?

You could disable your anti virus programme while downloading and shut off your network connection while installing to see if that helps.

I don't know anything about that error message.

When you have VSD installed, you could right-click on its icon and select 'Run as administrator', that seems to solve some problems as well.

Sorry. I did not know that it was going to default to my nick name when I updated my profile. It's me though:) I keep seeing that darn anti virus page next to it. That may be it.

Do post back if you are able to sort it, and tell us what you did. It may help others.

It looks like I have to keep running it as an admin in order for it to open. Will this happen if I purchase? It's open now but I have to go to programs and right click and open as admin

You will always have to run as admin. Just 'right-click' the icon and select properties. Then select 'compatability', then check the box 'Run as Administrator'

After that, just click the icon to run it.

Yes Gunsmoke that is precisely why I stick with XP. I hate a computer thinking it is boss. XP I believe is still the best OP Sys. I agree they have added a few features but developers still do not tell the system they are kosher.

I have a Vista notepad, sadly, that was the start of it. I believe there is a way to gain back ascendancy for all computer use. As if there is one user surely they are king, not some upstart just down in the last rainfall

I think they went this way for family use. When you have multiple users on one computer it's probably a good idea to have an 'admin'. But they completely ignore the fact that it's a royal pain for a single user who lets no one else on the computer. I wish they would give us the option of having 'admin' or not when we first initialize the computer. :D
