Stripping unwanted tag attributes

I have recently abandoned Adobe Dreamweaver and am looking for a good alternative. I am trying out coffeeCup and quite like it so far, but I can't find a way to remove unwanted tag attributes other than manually. If, for example, I have content that I wish to remove all the class tags from (clients often send me pages that used to be word documents and are full of unwanted tags and attributes), I can't seem to find an easy way to remove them. Find and Replace doesn't appear to even include wildcards or regular expressions, let alone something as handy as the "search in tag" functions of dreamweaver. Am I just missing something or am I restricted to the time consuming process of searching through the text and removing each specific attribute one at at time?

It seems likely that the CoffeeCup software being tried is The HTML Editor, for which notes on finding and replacing are at https://www.coffeecup.com/help/articles … -replace/.

For more extensive find and replace facilities there are, of course, other programs. For many situations a text editor will suffice, such as Notepad++ (free) or TextPad which include Regular Expressions in their find and replace functions. There are also powerful search and replace specialist programs, such as Text Crawler, which I have used to search across hundreds of files at a time.

Thanks,
It looks like the short answer is "no", coffeecup doesn't provide any advanced find and replace features and won't be suitable for my needs.
At least I know now and it wasn't simply a case of being unable to find the location of the features I was looking for in the software. :D

The easiest method I have found for stripping I needed tags and attributes is to do so prior to inserting them in HTML editor. I copy from word, paste into a true text editor, copy from the text editor and paste into HTML editor. Voilà! The tags are gone completely.

Did you know that Web Form Builder can be used for both simple and complicated forms and that it's not limited to the default fonts and buttons? Take a look at a form we developed for WindowTinting.com.
