Quantity Length of Time more
I need to make an order form/shopping cart for a company that does CD duplication replication, DVD duplication and replication and, believe it or not, cassette duplication. It is a family owned business, (my family).
I need to take the following things into consideration for the shopping cart:
Quantity: Length of Time. Type of label and whether it will be on one side only, both sides and both sides the same. There is also a one-time setup fee for Imprint or Label. Is there any way to NOT use the built in quantity field? Or is there a way I can offer quantities, and all the other things that are required?
To see what I am talking about visit the following URL: http://www.atozaudio.com/html/azezcass.html and check out Package 2.
Thank you in advance. I am using the Pro version by the way and I am on my first day of the trial. I would like to really give this software a fair shot. I am slower than most users because I am paralyzed from the neck down so hopefully I can tackle everything that I may encounter in order to give this program a fair shot and also purchase it if it does everything I need.

What software are you talking about here? Are you referring to Shopping Cart Creator Pro?

If this does what I need I will buy it. I don't want to buy it only to find out it doesn't. I made that mistake with Simfatic Form Builder.
Hiya jtk,
Do you have actual products you yourself sell? Or are you offering a service? If it's a service, you may be much better off using the Form Builder and it's built in payment system for this as you can also incorporate places for the customer to fill in any information needed whereas you cannot do that within the Shopping Cart Creator programs... yet... and would still have to build a form that you would put on each product page of your shopping cart. Just a thought to think on there.
I have not used the payment system within the Form Builder myself as of yet, but I have seen a lot of people here posting on it so there's a lot of help for it here too. I would think you might be able to address every on of your questions with that program.
As for the Shopping Cart Creator, it is pretty limited in what you can do for extra fees, especially if its a one time forever thing. If it's a one time per order thing it the setup fee could be added to a handling type fee or something like that, but if they only pay this once ever, I don't think the Shopping Cart software will work with that. You'd probably have to invoice them that fee separately or something, would be kind of clunky to do that, but it would work I suppose.

My problem is just about everything affects the price of ordering cassettes. For instance: the length of time means the required amount of actual physical "tape", Quantity, the amount of cassettes the customer needs, whether a label is needed or not or on one side only or on both sides and of course the one-time setup fee for whichever label type the customer desires. The only thing that doesn't affect the price is color.
One week is definitely not a long enough period of time to evaluate such a complex, extensive program such as Coffee Cup Shopping Cart Creator Pro. I don't know if there's anyone else out there who has a disability that slows down their progress but it definitely slows me down :-)

Yeah I know what you mean, but I can't blame them with the amount of people that abuse free trials these days.
On the other hand, everything you are listing as variables is very easily done using the CoffeeCup Web Form Builder rather than a shopping cart. If there is no actual product to sell and it's a services based thing, there's really no need for the shopping cart then. I would highly suggest using the Web Form Builder and giving that a shot. The options in that program are almost limitless (almost, not quite lol), and you can build it as simple or as complex as you need it. All the things you are mentioning are choices and prices can be added per choice in a dropdown even which makes it even more versatile.
This would also give you the ability to get feedback from your customers as to any type of customization that would be needed, which is something sorely lacking from the shopping cart program yet. Give it a try and let us know if you need any help with it, there's lots of us out here using that Form Builder so there's lots of help with it. I can help with building it, just not really the payment setups stuff, but others can help with that too.

ok. weird though. I thought I needed a cart to accept payments vs a form. I'll try it! Thx!
Yeah the Web Form Builder now has a payment processing system within in it that can connect to a handful of different payment gateways so it will probably work great for you. Good luck and tell us how it works out!

Web Form Builder is the way to go for custom orders like what you are describing. Once you get the hang of it, you will find that you can have the various options affect the price. Here's some information to help you learn more about how payments are set up and used in WFB.
