Hi Guys & Gals
I have looked and looked around the forum and araticles, and have got my underwear in a knot :D

I am also very new to the whole thing of shopping on-line so please be gentle

I have a web-site designed in RSD which has a page for the shop ((4 catagories, probably around 200 products in total (in the beginning)

Which one of the CC apps do I first need to have, to design the shop part of the web-site,

Can I make those pages fit in with the existing design for the web-site (colour schemes, headings etc etc) ?

Are there some articles available for looking at how to set one up, if so where bcs I cant seem to find anything.?

Someone has provided a link to Paypal about what currencies they accept, but when I go there it is blank with no information. I am based in Indonesia so would need for Paypal to accept payment in Rupiah, can anyone give me somewhere within paypal that shows it or some sort of link/contact that I can try.?

I also read (old post) that shopping cart thingy isn't responsive, is that still the case ?

Hope someone can help me get started

Thanks in anticipation

Wayan

The cart system with CC is not responsive at all and would therefore not be responsive in your website no matter how you tried to put it in there. I would highly suggest you look outside of CoffeeCup for a shop system, or wait until they ever get around to creating the new system they've been promising us for quite some time. They've been very wrapped up in all these other responsive apps and the Shopping Cart software has gone by the wayside in waiting on it to be updated with actual features for many years, and now with waiting on the RSD to be at the point that they can take on another large project so that the cart system can be redone from scratch to make it responsive.

If they build the new system anything similar to how the old system works, you would just create a new shop, upload it to a sub-directory of your server and then link to it on your current website. There is a setting in the Shopping Cart software that allows you to setup your external website's home page as the homepage of the shop as well so you can make so they basically go back and forth pretty seamlessly. Then just style up the shop to look similar to your current website and you're all set to go. That's how it works now, just that there is a lot of features that never got added into the old version, that people have asked for from day one of the release, which will hopefully be in the new version. No responsiveness is a major thing at this time as well as the lack of coupon code ability, customized order taking without having to resort to an externally added form, and a handful of other features it's still missing in the old version.

Either way though I would wait until they release the new version whenever that may be as the word is that it's possible that the old stores may not be compatible with the new software. No sense in setting it up now if you're just going to have to do it again. ... But, you never know, they could surprise us on when that will be.

Thanks for that
I have sort of gone with the idea of waiting for something responsive, have found something which will suit me better at the moment, can do the shop pages with CC RSD and then use the other company to put the cart & buy Now type buttons on, they do the gubbins as far as tecky side, seems pretty simple (which I defiantly need)

Shame really would have been nice to support CC Team.

Take Care and have a great day wherever in the world you are
