Hi, I've already raised a Support ticket with 3 specific questions I have and I'm waiting on a response. I forgot to ask whether there are any video tutorials for this product and I can't find anywhere obvious on the site. Can anyone point me in the right direction? I'm new to FTP software so really need some guidance about how to use it. I really need to get a handle on using FTP as I can't move forward with my websites until I can use this tool properly. Hope someone can help me. Thanks one and all.
There were video tutorials on You Tube, but I think they have got a bit outdated now. Let us know what you are struggling with, and we may be able to help.
Ha en riktig god dag!

Hi thanks for taking the time to respond. I would like to understand the FTP process so it's disappointing to find there are no tutorials or instructions that come with this product. I am also disappointed that I haven't yet had a response to my Support ticket. One of the main issues I am having is how to do a full backup for my main site on my hosting platform. I have a few sub-domains which I have backed-up using ClassicFTP but I don't seem able to back up ONLY the main domain. When I do a full back up it copies ALL of my subdomains too. Do you know of any pdf instructions that cover the concept of ftp? Does not need to be for a specific product, just the how and why you do things with ftp. Thanks again for your response.
Cheers.
Cheers.
If you download the trial version the help file that is included tells you the features and how to set it up. Actually there is a totally free version as well that except for a few features will do a sterling job for you.
I am sure if you Google FTP you will get a host of explanations. The only tricky part is getting your host settings right, after that it is basically drag and drop.
So get started and ask

Hi Prism, thanks for taking the time to respond. I have actually purchased the ClassicFTP but I'm not sure what the extra features are with the paid version. I had previously downloaded the free version and the paid version looks exactly the same. Admittedly I haven't explored all the options. When the free version actually worked, as opposed to FileZilla where my local site just didn't show up and no way to access it (apparently this is a fairly common issue but I couldn't find the answer on line) I decided to purchase the software. Thanks for pointing me to the Help - I'll work my way thru that. I'm puzzled as to why CoffeeCup don't actually have a training page on their site. Just one quick question if you don't mind. I have all my files on an external hard drive to save space on my MacAir. I can't seem to get the ClassicFTP to point to the EHD. Is it possible or will I have to use "Documents" when I want to upload documentation? Thanks again. Cheers
PS: I'm still waiting for a response to my Support ticket with 3 other queries. I shall give them another day and if no response I'll raise another ticket.
Thanks and cheers

Hi Scott, thanks for that notification. I actually raised a ticket with you yesterday, and received a confirmation back acknowledging my contact with NCH Software. I can't find anywhere here to add an attachment, so I'll type out the response.
"Thank you for contacting NCH Software. Your message will be answered as soon as possible. You should receive a reply at your email address nikib3@bigpond.com. Please make sure your spam filter does not block emails from @nchsoftware.com by adding nchsoftware.com to the allowed email whitelist. If you don't do this your reply may not be delivered to your inbox."
I have checked my spam folder and there's nothing there. I'm not sure what has happened, but I've definitely received an acknowledgement. Any ideas?
Thanks.

Oops! Just noticed the attachment - dah! Attached is a screen capture of your response.
You are dealing with Coffeecup Software here, not "NCH Software".
The program "ClassicFTP", which you are referring to, and your support ticket to "NCH Software" have nothing whatsoever to do with Coffeecup!
Do you have any questions or problems related to any Coffeecup products?
