I'm looking for an alternative to Adobe Dreamweaver - that I've used since it was part of MacroMedia. It's obvious that Dreamweaver seems to be going the same way as Fireworks did as it hasn't been updated since 2021 or thereabouts and doesn't have support for Grid or Flexbox plus the continual crashes etc.

I'm old school in that I have many self coded static html websites all with 1000s of pages using DW's templating system. And yes they are time consuming to maintain BUT they are exceedingly lightweight, fast loading and all scoring in the high 90s on Google Lighthouse.

Was quite excited when I came across CoffeeCup HTML editor as I remember reviewing it as an option when considering (MacroMedia's) Dreamweaver all those years ago.
* A quick look at the blurb seemed to indicate that CoffeeCup HTML editor would be capable of maintaining large websites (there was mention somewhere of 500 pages) - In contrast to VS Code et al that aren't.
* It looks like I could convert DW's templates to CoffeeCup's Library and Snippet functions.

However, from the trial (thank you) CoffeeCup HTML editor also doesn't have built-in support for Grid or Flexbox and doesn't seem to have been updated since 2022. A few other minor niggles: no dark view and panels don't seem to be detachable for moving onto other screens, but I can live with those.

So is CoffeeCup HTML editor also going the same way as Dreamweaver seems to be?

And yes I've downloaded the SiteDesigner trial - NO NO NO - I'm certainly not interested in Bootstrap Bloat or visual builders.

Any comments thoughts or suggestions welcome.

Thank you.
