I have inserted an audio player on a web page ( in Visual Designer) which works fine when tested on browser, BUT then all the text on the page is missing. Why is this??

Hard to tell without seeing the page/code. Do you have a link?
My best gues would be an unclosed <div> tag. Have a look at your inserted HTML and make sure there's a closing </div> tag for every opening <div> tag.
