html coding for page url...
Hi - I am using RLM and Html editor for a site I am building which I upload to my s drive account. When I have completed the site I want to upload it to my own domain address which then results in a change of url .... do I need to change every link on every page to http://www.educationmatters.co.za/index.html or can I keep it as "index.html", "contact-us,html" etc.... And can anybody enlighten me on why our current site has to be preceded by www and cannot be reached just via http .... not even my service provider can tell me why that is so and what I should do to ensure that it can be reached by both methods. Thanks in advance for any replies.
Hey Sheels,
You can keep it as relative links.
If you are using absolute links such as http://www.yoursite.com/yourpage.html then you would just need to remove the http://www.yoursite.com/ and leave the /yourpage.html and this will work on any domain.
You can keep it as relative links.
