Yes, mate - that's the line. It's perfect on the live site on all browsers and on my laptop BUT it's the new one I am having trouble with. It just plain won't go where I want it to! (At least, it doesn't appear to on my laptop). I will have a look at the link Gunsmoke put on and see if it's right aligned for me as well.... Nope. It's still showing as in the middle instead of on the right, which is a right pain because on a small screen it mixes with the three dogs. Yes, making it a bit bigger would be a good idea! Won't be on now until the morning so have a good day, folks!

Inger, just realised from your screenshot that's the live website. The one I am working on doesn't have any buttons in. The link Gunsmoke put in is the one I am having trouble with.;)

If I understand, she wants the small centered text over on the right under the heading.

Christine, before I can fix your code, please rename all folders and paths (and possibly files), so that the names consist of ONE word (not 'SEDTS Images/004.jpg', but e.g. SEDTS_images/.. etc, or even just images/.. I ran your code through a validator and there are also a lot of errors that need to be corrected. I'll take another look tomorrow.

Reason for renaming your files and paths is to remove 'spaces'. Some servers and some browsers do not deal well with spaces. It's become bad practice and most designers now use a dash or underscore.

That's the one, Gunsmoke, and right-o! You live and learn... Names have been adjusted for the Test file; will change the folders for the live file as I go. Sorry, Inger! There probably are a lot of errors as I've been doing a lot of playing about. Don't you just love learning? I've just got up but I hope you guys are having a good night. Talk later today!

Christine, try changing the properties for h1 and the p class="description":
h1 { color: #fff; text-shadow: 5px 5px 5px #000; margin: 0 0 3px; padding: 24px 18px 0; text-align:right;}
p.description { color: #ccc; font-size: 12px; font-weight: bold; margin: 20px 0 3px; padding: 20px 18px 0 0; text-align: right;}

Basically I removed the inline positioning and replaced the floats with text-align. I also adjusted the top margin and padding on the p, so if you want to move the p up or down, you need to play with those. I also made the p text a wee bit larger.

Something else: I'm on a laptop, and my screen has one of your navigation links drop down to a new line. It could be worth reducing the distance between the buttons to get them all to line up.

HA! HA! Genius person! That seems to work wonderfully well! Thank you, Inger! The buttons was the next item on the agenda - the final version of this site will have info for next year's show and I have to stop it bouncing around on smaller screens. By the way, I have renamed ALL folders and adjusted the pathways accordingly. And thanks for all the other little acts of kindness! Much appreciated.
