I need to design a form and curious if CC Form Builder can do what I need.

I'm not sure of the best route to follow to collect the information but here's what I need to do.

Basically what I need is an application form which will collect information about an individual. Example:

Name, age, height, weight, etc. But I also need the capability of having them upload several (up to 5) images, possibly a resume or similar document (pdf, doc, etc). and have it all emailed to me.

Can CC Form Builder do that? From what I've seen it only allows a single upload. Can any of the files CC writes be modified so that it can handle more files for upload?

Thanks.

Currently, form builder only allows you to upload one file at a time. However, I believe this is going to be fixed on the new form builder update. The rest you can do with no problem.

The files can be zipped and uploaded as one zip file.

This is true, but what if the user does not know how to .zip a file?

As The Philosopher stated, I have to agree. A lot of the people I will be collecting data from are basically computer illiterate. Most don't have a clue how to "zip" files. I have enough trouble with them actually reading instructions and giving me all the data I need.

Any idea how soon Form Builder will have the capability of handling multiple files?

No idea how soon, but the current suggested work around is to include the one upload option native to the program, then in your configuration settings, have the page redirect to itself, so that another file can be uploaded again.

If you decide to use this technique you may want to consider adding two buttons at the bottom (outside of the form builder itself, preferably using html). You can label one "done" and the other "more uploads", or something like that. That way, if they are done, you can redirect them to the main site, if they need more uploads than program that link to come back to the form to resubmit again.

Inger,

"Actually!" You should come to expect these sorts of ideas from me!

That does sound like a pretty good idea, but. If I redirect them back to the form would they be required to fill in all the information again including the captcha? Or am I misunderstanding something?

Or might a better solution be to have an email address outside of the form just to attach images or documents?

My biggest concern is simplicity for the user.

Thank you for the suggestion.

Work arounds are no good if they are not practical to the application and inconvenient to the end user. Submitting 5 or 6 separate forms to accomplish one task is not very practical or convenient.
CoffeeCup... Yeah, they are the best!
