External CSS sheets - Post ID 237726
Hi,
Having a problem with opening the preview pane when using a CSS sheet - when I press f12 an example page loads showing html formats (e.g. the 6 levels of headers and so on).
Best,
Harry

Hello Harry welcome to the forums. Not quite sure what you are asking. Which program are you working with?

Sounds like you maybe trying to preview the style sheet instead of the actual html page the style sheet is linked to. Make sure your html page is showing in the html editor when you hit F-12.
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

Hiya Harry and welcome to the forums.
In order to see what a CSS page looks like you need to have an HTML page open, switch to the HTML page and open the preview pane so you see that page. Now open the CSS page (making sure it is a saved page) and open the preview window. Now you should see it applied to the HTML page you had opened previously.

If you have only one html page open plus the correponding css file, previewing the html page should also be possible when clicking preview the css file. But if you have more than one html file open, it doesn't work.
Ha en riktig god dag!
