Equivalent mailchimp fields for Regex...
Hi there,
I'm bulding a form in Form Builder to capture client information requests and link them to my Mailchimp account.
I have Name, Addres, ZIP, phone, mail and some radio buttons (mailchimp groups) and a hidden field with a pre-set value. I created those fields in Mailchimp.
I can match text fields with 25 character length. It also works for phone fields if you are American or from UK, but not for other countries. And radios also work because they are exactly the same in Mailchimp.
What doesn't work is matching this Form builder elements:
1-regex fields (they are good for data validation)
2-Text Area fields ( I need as much space as possible because this is where the clients explain what they want from us)
3-Hidden elements (for pre-set values that I need to specify to know from which site the request comes from)
The easy thing is get rid of regex elements and then use only text fields elements, but then I lose the good validation of data and the length of a Text Area.
Is there any limitation in the way of matching fields between Form Builder and Mailchimp? Maybe you only support fields like: text area, phone, zip, radio and not the others available in Form builder.
I don't know, I've done a little bit of research and I cannot see it right now.
please help would be much apreciated.
Marc.

Hey Marc
As far as I know, MailChimp has no ability to match those fields. You can only match fields that they specifically have support for.

Hi Scott,
2 years later i'm re-opening this one ;-)
It would be very nice if we can find a workaround for this as i'm facing the same issue and i cannot push my form results to MailChimp because of that.....
Thank you
Best,
D

Has MailChimp changed things on their end to allow it?

So shall i assume the workaround i mentioned earlier in this thread :
http://www.coffeecup.com/forums/web-form-builder/regex-and-password-fields-in-mailchimp/
is not achievable ?
Thank you for your answer
