Hey folks,

I'm using the Form Builder and I've read through the forums and found that there is no offline/pay by check option available currently (at least not for the Cart Builder - I don't see anything for FB either), but I'm wondering if there's a workaround. Here's what I'd like:

On the confirm order page, in addition to the PayPal button, there will be a second button which will disregard payment but still send the form contents to the client and myself - just like what happens when clicking the PayPal button, but without routing to PayPal. This will allow the client to send a check, which about 50% of my clients prefer (old timers and luddites, you know), while allowing me to receive their request.

Here's the form if it helps to see what I'm attempting:

I love the program, the concept, the community aspect. Thanks for keeping it going.

Use conditions in the form to display the Paypal option or check option.;)
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

That's a good idea Eric, and PayPal now has something called PayPal Here or something like that, where you can accept checks through them now, so maybe a PayPal button for that if they need to pay by check? More options there :)

Eric, can you explain a bit more what you mean by this? I don't understand how I could use conditions in this way. :/

Use the HTML element to embed the PayPal option and regular inputs to allow a check to be used. Then apply the conditions to each element to show them based on which option is chosen. If the PayPal by check option is viable then place that in another html element and apply the condition to that.

Another way to explain it. If you have have a selection element like drop downs, Radio buttons or check boxes you can have other elements show or be hidden dependent on what is selected. I use a simple version on a form to redirect the contact to various email addresses. I plan to use it more extensively soon. this form only has a drop down but each selection changes the email it goes to.
see here http://las.comli.com/contactlas.html I plan to change the message via the same choice or condition, This site is a work in progress in my spare time.

I understand the conditions feature, I'm just not sure how to apply it in this way. Let me make sure I'm reading this right.

You're saying that I can embed the two options into the form itself, rather than the order confirmation page, using the HTML element feature. If the client elects to pay by check, the submit button would roll the info out to them and myself via email. However, if they elect to pay by PayPal, on clicking the submit button they would be taken to the order confirmation page just as the form is set up currently. Is this correct? If so, will the code I'll be entering in the HTML element correspond to separate Submit buttons which will each be conditioned to appear upon radio (or whatever format) selection?

Has this been described in the forums before? I know there's a 3 year long thread in here discussing peoples desire for this option, but I didn't see anything explaining the workaround you're offering.

The only thing I would add is that a message pops up to announce which payment method is to be used

Gunsmoke, that's exactly what I'm looking for! When 'pay by check' is selected the submit button simply regurgitates the info rather than taking the client to the payment page. Fabulous.

How do I format/code it this way? I've dinked around some and can't quite figure it out.

I appreciate the help very much, all. Especially considering I'm still at stingy guest status. Shows integrity. Thank you.
