Can I Download an Entire Site? Do I...

So I've been asked to make a site that is similar, but not congruent, to the website that this nonprofit educational museum already has. I'm a volunteer. Rather than hire the people who originally coded the museum's website to do the add-ons (they've already quoted a price that would kill the museum), they've asked Volunteer Codemonkey Me to write another site, which will link from the original website by a single button which they will then pay the original web-dev company to put on the menu bar, which is a job that the museum should be able to afford. Got all that?

So ease the shock of the viewer who goes to the main website, clicks the button and winds up on our special event website, it would be nice if the site I'm learning CoffeeCup in order to do looks like the site the expensive web developer company did. My site won't look exactly the same, but it should have a similar style; like from the same family. I understand that background pictures in use on the big site are still the property of the museum, so I can use those, but is it possible to download the whole site that I'm trying to emulate into CoffeeCup and use it as a basis for my special event website?
If so, how?
As always, thanks in abundance.

Hi there Darren,,

What I have done in the past is use this program to download the website:
http://www.httrack.com/page/2/

Then open it up in HTML Editor to make changes. Other then that no not much else can be done.
Taking over the world one website at a time!
