Can CC help me?

I was introduced to cc by a friend after I explained to him what I was looking for.

My goal is to get a tool that would enable me to develop my site loaded with keywords in all the right tags (per google's expectations) so I can get on top of the first page of the organic search.

I am a small business owner who just can't quite figure out how to make his campaigns rank high in google adwords. I'm sure I'm not alone in this regard.

I am interested in knowing which cc products would help me achieve my goal.

Welcome to our forums CedarGuy.

I am afraid what you are asking for is the holy grail of web design. This is why people pay hundreds, sometimes thousands of dollars to have SEO experts do it for them. There are a million different theories out there on how properly markup your website for the best visibility to search engines.

This has nothing to do with the products you want to buy and everything to do with your competencies as a web developer.

I have written an article on my website for beginners to SEO. You are more than welcome to take a look at it, and email me if you have any further questions.

With all of that said. I must tell you, you cannot go wrong with Coffee Cup software. They provide web developers with many tools to do web design well - from the beginner to the professional. i suggest you at least give some of their free trials a run to see what you think.

Good luck.

Thanks for these articles. I'm reading them as we speak!

I notice I rank very well with organic searches on google, but not yet with bing or yahoo.

That being said, I'm now generating SEO for each individual product as we can do now with SCC Pro.

I notice in my keywords it will have as an example:

keyword&#44.

After each keyword I use, &#44 is on the end of it. Will this affect anything? Should I open a support issue?

Thanks! :)

I would not worry too much about that being added on the end. Regarding SEO and the shopping cart, I would not worry too much about it. The keywords it generates are very good, and I have found that carts made with CC are very easy to find on search engines.

I am glad you are enjoying the articles.

Thank you for the extra information. :)

I am ranking really well with google, and don't wish to mess with that, so will putting in the description in the SEO field change my google ranking? It's just I'm not doing very well on yahoo & bing, so would like to give some SEO a go for those search engines.

Yes, putting a description in your meta tag information is very important. It is what search engines use to display information about your site. Notice when you search for something, right underneath the individual search results is a little description of the website. That is where they get the information from. You also want to make sure your site as the correct keywords, and that they are dispersed correctly within the content of your site, as well as within your meta - tag information.

Okay sorry I think I misunderstood then. When you say you wouldn't worry too much about SEO as the CC shopping cart is easy to find for the search engines, do you mean keywords only?

I had keywords & descriptions on every page of my last site (before CC), but as you know, we've only know been able to do this with CC with SCC Pro.

I have started SEO and got through a fair bit, but I stopped in case it was going to mess up my current rankings. :)

I have read your article and have a question: We have always been told that the use of heading size h1 is one of the important things for SEO, but you don't mention that in your article. Does that mean that the h1 tag is not important any more?

Sorry, a bit of miscommunication. I thought you were speaking about descriptions in general. The reason you don't have to worry about it with the cart is because the cart generations them for you.

Inger,

That is a good point. Ordering your h tags is still a high priority for SEO, just left it out. I will fix that.

Thanks for the heads up.
