Hi Gaynor,
This may help you find the issue.

You should take a look at CC's new Responsive Site Designer and bring that site up to date.
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

This is a site I built for my work.(RSD)
http://esmansgreenhouse.com
This is a site I built for use in my job.(HTML Editor)
https://pestlogbook.com
This is my personal site used for testing and as an easy way to share photos.(RLM imported to RSD)

Thanks - yes I've used this validator before - will go have a play.
Just been looking at the Responsive Site Designer but just don't have the funds at the moment - sad to say :(

Unfortunately even though I run the validator -I don't really know how to put stuff right.

It might be helpful to go back to a snapshot of the site at a previous date, given the number of items that the HTML validator lists.

https://archive.org/web/ has snapshots of your site going back for years. If you find the one you want, the HTML coding can be copied (I do it in Firefox by pressing ctrl-u) into an HTML editor, modified as wished, and uploaded again.

Now that is brilliant..... however.... when I go back to previous pages on there - they are still all over the place although I know it wasn't always like this.
I thought I would try internet explorer as a browser - home page looks fine.
But if I use torch or google - it is all over the place.
So now totally confused.
