The smoke and dust is starting to clear (just a little) from the RLM. So is there any news about RSD? Besides it will be released before the polar caps shift and the great lakes dry up. Us "non-coders" championed by Gunsmoke are chomping at the bit for this new super, one ball does all program. (RLM, HTML Editor and VSD combined!?)
Anyone?

Guys at coffeecup are awesometacular.

Those are the best ways to be sure you're on top of what's going on with CoffeeCup. Other than that they aren't going to divulge any dates in here, that would be like skinning their hides with the number of people that will complain if it doesn't come out exactly by that time lol.
Be patient, I would rather see them release a very good product, than pre-release an unfinished one that doesn't have all the bells and whistles we need. Trust me to tell you it's going to be extremely worth the wait!

So this must be what I'm looking for.
I'm trying to figure out in what order I use this 17 software package.
If there is a cheat sheet or flow chart as to how I would use all these software's please let me know.

We need more information Rick. What exactly are you trying to do? Build a website? Have you ever built a website before? Modify an existing website? Build websites for others? Create a blog? Create an online store?
The more information you can give us, the better someone can help guide you in the right direction.

I have used Dreamweaver for years to build sites and create templates and have only use CSS a little bit.
I'm looking at building websites and will be incorporating calendars, forms, videos and picture galleries to name a few of the products I plan on using from the package.
I love the idea of the RLM since so many people use the different ways to connect and some people don't even own a computer anymore.
I haven't had a whole lot of time to cruise the forum or play with the software's.
I really like how the first example in the quick start works, and trying to figure out how do I do the menu that collapses as you go to a mobile screen size and the color bar the goes behind the logo.
I just bought the layout templates from a post in another part of the forum.
I was trying not to ask to many questions till I had some time to cruise the tutorials and forum.
But since you asked
I would find it helpful if there was, for lack of a better description flowchart that I would go through and implement all these softwares so as to learn and be as productive as possible, kind of like finding out that I really probably don't need to use the VSD if I'm using RLM.
Thanks for all your help!

Yea your absolutely right! If you wanted to build a Responsive website you will not need to use VSD. That being said don't underestimate the power of VSD. Until recently that is all I used. If you browse the post your website here under the visual site designer forum you will see many of the ones I have created.
But with the move to responsive site building I will probably abandon VSD and focus more on the new responsive software that coffeecup has released and all future software releases. I heard there are more coming! Keep up the good work coffeecup!

Don't push VSD off the cliff yet.
You could use VSD to create some of your content then grab the content from the files that VSD creates to use with your RLM frame work.

I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

This is my personal site used for testing and as an easy way to share photos.(RLM imported to RSD)

I think Rick is looking for a flow plan to design a website. And there is no easy answer to that as everyone seems to follow a different path. RLM is used to create the basic responsive framework for your website. Then you load the files it creates in the HTML editor and add your content. You should have an idea of what you want your website to look like before you start this process. Draw it out on paper if you need to. You'll use the Button Builder to create buttons and links for your website and add them as content. You'll use the Menu Builder to create your menus. Web Calendar to create a calendar. And so forth. These programs will create content. Then you load your framework in the HTML editor and add that content. But it all starts with designing your website. Then create a framework in RLM to hold the content you want to display. Then use HTML editor to actually place that content into your framework. Make sense? As far as videos, photo galleries and such, stay away from anything FLASH as it won't show up on iphones, ipads and such. CoffeeCup makes some software you can use, you'll may have to use other software to provide additional content you want to add.
Hope this gives you an idea of where to start ( planning and designing your website ) and where to go after that (RLM then HTML editor ). Come back and ask more questions if you need to. This is a great place to find help.

Flow plan, you said? I think this can be a way to do it.:
1. Take out a sheet of paper and a pencil. Make a drawing of what you want your site to look like. Pencil in the various elements, like header, logo navbar, side panel, main text area, images, video, slideshows, calendar, contact form, footer and such. Place them on the paper using the pencil.
2. Take another sheet of paper and make a drawing of how you want the page to look like on smaller screens
3. Now fire up RLM and try to create digitally what you have just drawn on the paper, using place holders for the text, images etc. Dont forget to check and make adjustments for smaller screens. When you like what you see, then save and export.
4. Now do what Gunsmoke said above, create the contents, possibly in other programmes, depending on the kind of contents.
5. Open the exported html file in your code editor and insert the contents.
When you have done this some times, you may actually allow yourself to skip #1 and 2.
