Holy Crap G! Thats ******** I would be tearing them a new ***. Isn't that insurance for you... they are there for you when you don't need them and gone when you do. Well best of luck Gunsmoke! I too live with chronic back pain and a condition that is called Dystonia in my lower lumbar.

I don't know about you but I think back problems are the worst thing in life to suffer from and no one truly knows how bad it is until they have it.

but hey, I might have been faking it I guess!

Yea I fought Workman's Compensation Board for 2 and a half years and went through dozens of their doctors/surgeons before they believed I wasn't faking!

All the best to you my friend! Keep fighting the good fight!

Is Dystonia where you get muscle spasms and twitches etc?? not nice.

Yea its basically the brain telling part of your body muscle to contract and protect whatever part of the body its attacking. Kind of like when you see a punch coming to your stomach and your brain automatically tightens the muscles without you thinking about it much. Well that's what happens with Dystonia except it doesn't un-clench.

Yeah I remember reading about it and from memory I think people can get it universally through the body. I'll be getting wrong for going off topic :) but back on topic, makes you fine Ambassador  I redeemed myself there ;)

Talk about workers comp...no problem! Couple of years ago I was involved with a 'suicide by truck' accident and broke a bone in my hand. 6 weeks in a cast, then 6 weeks physical therapy before I could return to work. Workers comp paid everything medical. No problem. $650/week while I was off work. Paid on time every week. Couldn't have gone smoother. Very, very impressed after some stories I had heard, but I guess my company has a pretty good policy. Not so with Short term disability apparently!

Broken hand is easy to prove your not faking. Tell them you have back pain see where it gets you.

It was a long battle :P

I can relate, though a 'pain in the neck' doesn't tell them if there is anything wrong with you or if you're just mad at them!

I'm hopeful. I'm down on the drugs. Starting tomorrow I'll be at the minimum dose. If everything works out then next week I'll be off the drugs

So then you will not have that excuse any more. What will you come up with as an excuse from then on? ;) :P
Ha en riktig god dag!

You were more with it than me on drugs ;)
