Sorting website content articles -...

Hi: A few years agousing Free Coffee Cup HTML Editor, I designed my main website (dogs4ever.com). Recently, I decided I needed some serious rework of the site. What I'd like to do is find a way to re-sort the various articles into more specific categories that would prove easier for visitors to find the subject matter they were looking for. Is there any way to effect this outcome with software or some other way. In other words, some software in which I could ask, for example, all articles dealing with Puppies or senior dogs? I realize this would be a tall order, and maybe such sophisticated software just doesn't exist. Maybe the smart developers at Coffee Cup could begin tackling such a project?
Any ideas meanwhile would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
John Falk

Hi John,

Coffeecup does not have any software that would be able to do this and I don't believe there is any software out there that can to my knowledge anyway. I think you are stuck doing it the good old fashion way :o . I would suggest if you are going to start over with your site that you have a look at Responsive Layout Maker which can be found here http://www.coffeecup.com/responsive-layout-maker-pro/ . This software will allow you to build a website framework that look good on any device.

Best of luck to you.

There's no app but I would think you could place your article url's in a mysql database along with some key words for filtering and use a query to return the relevant ones.
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

I can think of a few apps. They are FAQ scripts. That normally come with Frantastico or Softaculous installers within cPanel.

MySQL gives a fantastic and easy way to sort the articles IMO. However, if you decide to use a MySQL database, be sure to think everything through before your create the database. What type of searches will you need to do? How will your information be displayed? That type of thing. Planning goes a LONG way toward future updates.

Did you know that Web Form Builder can be used for both simple and complicated forms and that it's not limited to the default fonts and buttons? Take a look at a form we developed for WindowTinting.com.
