Yes Inger we have already thought of that as an option, but as the postal service here is unreliable and at best at least some 30 days to get here from Texas, then the hassle of possible customs needing to see what's on them (no worries about that as it is just a series of interviews with a WWII veteran, but an inconvenience one is trying to avoid.
The problem though still remains about, hosting them and showing them to whoever wants to see them.
I am going to suggest that he make short edited clips of the full 4 videos, to show on his site, then offer the full unedited versions for people to download if they want.
He isn't keen on Youtube due to the automated advertising/suggestions for next videos (doesn't believe me when I say I can get rid of them. He also doesn't believe that they can be made totally private.
Thanks for all suggestions will keep scratching my head to try get something workable for him.
