I downloaded some new layouts and themes today to tryout. I can't get any of them to work. I can go to the index.html file and open it and view what I downloaded, but I can't open a new page and start with one of my new layouts or themes. Any help?

Which program are you using Denny?

Generally you would just change the index page how you want it and then save as.

Or you could Select All. Copy and paste into a new page and then change any code and save.
I know you believe you understand what you think I said...but I am not sure you realize that what you heard is not exactly what I meant.

Are you having trouble assigning the themes? Or are you having trouble finding the themes in the list at all? And as Tassie already asked, which program?

I am using coffee cup. I downloaded a new theme, but I can't get it to show up in the preview. I can open it's index file, but it won't come up when I click start with a theme.

"I am using coffee cup."

Good start. CoffeeCup WHAT? HTML Editor, Visual Site Designer? Shopping Cart Designer? Photo Gallery?

Plenty of help available here, but we need more information! :)

It sounds like the HTML Editor. Do you mean when you go to Theme Choser you can't get it to Preview?

If so this is because with some of the themes that you can buy separate the png file was missed out and a PSD file added instead. Support are working on making png files for those themes.

If you open a theme and look at its index.html file you should be able to preview it in the Preview tab of the editor. Not much help when you want to see it before choosing though. You could make a note of the name and check what it looks like in the shop.

If this is the problem you are having put in a support ticket as well and it might hurry them up with the png files if someone else asks for them :D

I think Denny means it is not showing up in his template file. Your file should have come with some instructions on how to move your file from its download location to the CC location. I think this is what he is talking about.

Yeah, if that's the case, just double click the file you downloaded (which should be a compressed zip file) and it should open and there should be a text file in there that tells you how to install them.

I am not completely computer illiterate. I read the instructions and followed them It is still not showing up. I think I will just copy the index file and work from there. Can someone tell me how to make the css file work if I do this?

Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
