No problem, good luck with it.

Eric's assessment of VSD is correct: you cannot add style sheets with it except very indirectly and in a very klunky fashion. VSD creates the style elements itself based on your design.

I dunno -- maybe my browser (Firefox 3.6) ate Wheaties this morning or something, but all the pages on your site load VERY QUICKLY, regardless of your means of creating it.

Seriously, I'd estimate that it takes less than a 1/4 second from click to fully-rendered page. You musta fixed it! :D

Well that's good to hear. Something must of worked. :D

I changed just the titles on the left side of each page to text rather than objects, and I could see the difference in the loading time immediately. I still have a bunch of objects on every page, but just changing those few items seems to have made a big difference.

Here's a tip: Don't forget to include the width and height tags for your images, as they'll assist in rendering a page much faster, especially when you have loads of images. Plus they help to prevent your layouts from going haywire when the 'browse without loading images' function is off.

On a sidenote, how fast your page loads really depends on any or a combination of these:
1. Client's computer (Cpu / Ram / Browser~ )
2. Hosting Server's bandwidth
3. Speed of internet (Dial-up / ADSL / T1~ )
4. Format/Type of images on website.

There could be more, but I can only think of these at the moment.
My tee shirt site http://www.teedojo.com, warmly and fuzzily done with SCC + SCD. I kinda like it even if I've yet to sell any shirts! Hah!

Catch me and say hi!. I don't bite, but I will help you with your website so you can kickstart your web presence today.

Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
