Eric once again Thanks for taking the time to reply to my question, I appreciate it very much. Good news for me is that it is fixed, the new updated file actually had an extra space between Redirect 301
/ new***** should have been Redirect
301 /new****
I never thought that would cause the whole site to be error 500. I also had to find out how to show the hidden files so I could delete the old .htaccess file, which I know how to do now.
