I understand I have to put my newsletter form file and newsletter php in the same area (file) as the page my newsletter form is to be on. I think the other script is to pasted on actual page like an optin id. I cannot find the newletter dir or file in the database or file directories list. Help. I know html but this is confusing me.

Hi Roger,
Just upload to the root/public directory. Do not put the form folder* or php file into a separate area or database.
You should see your form folder and form php right along with your html/php pages and folders (css, js...).
For example:
[my site] <public_html
-[my-form folder]
-[my css folder]
--index.html
--my-form.php
--page.html
--otherpage.html

On the actual page, copy/paste the form code where you want it to display.
*Leave the form folder as is, you don't need to move anything out of it.

Hi Roger,

I am afraid you are going to have to back up a bit and tell us in more detail what is going on and we may be able to help you.

I believe the first answer will help. I can easily place the folder and php in the same branch as public html. I thank everyone for your help. I used to program industrial machines, but that was a long time ago. This updates faster than I can learn what is going on (ha ha). Thanks again.

I had to use the abbreviated iframe code. I had tried everything else and nothing worked. My form folder and form php were installed under public_html. I install the following with text tool on my web page:
<iframe height="830" id="fb_iframe" src="http://www.mydomain.com/form/formname.html" style="border: none; background: transparent; overflow: hidden;" width="100%"></iframe>

Use this example and fill in as needed.

Roger, does your server run the latest PHP version?
Just curious why only the Iframe works.

I was unable to get the html code for the form into the proper page but after reading this article, I did get that done. Here is the link to that article given above - this should be posted somewhere easier to find, most of us don't have days to hunt through all these forums for answers.

Now there is a problem at the bottom of the form about an error: must have done something wrong, hopefully find another post to help with that.

It's nice that you found your solution. But if you do have trouble finding it, just post a question here and someone will help you out. By all means, search first, but don't lose days looking!

If there is another problem you're looking for a solution to, post a link to the site with the form along with your question. It helps if we can actually see the problem on the page. Thanks and good luck!
