Hi Scott,

this is all working great now that i have downloaded the latest version of the software, however, the weblinks within the auto-response email are still not live links, do i need to include some special code at all?

Regards,

Simon

You need to format the links with HTML:

Keep in mind Simon, that the entire message is formatted in HTML now rather than just typed as plain text, so you need to format all parts of the message that you want to show specifically with colors, fonts, sizes, etc as well as the links Scott shows and images too. There should be some pretty good examples already setup in the email for you if you haven't deleted the original code that is. If you have deleted the old message, just start a new form and go in the settings and copy it from there to a text file so you have a reference and you should be ok :)

As I see it even if the auto responder did have the ability to send to separate addresses how does that garantee the person who filled the form actually read the reply they got.

One sure way is to put an address on the auto response form that by clicking it sends a message to a script that confirms receipt. Otherwise it is just whistling in the wind.

Hmmm....so I'm having an issue with the auto-responder. The problem is with the "FROM" field, not the "TO" dropdown menu.
When I include a "properly formatted email address" in the From field, the auto-responder is sending 2 emails: 1 to the client that filled the form, and 1 to me as a copy of the auto-responder. If I leave the From field blank, the client gets an email with some bogus email address as the sender.
What we want is the following:
- Auto-response going to whomever filled out the form along with the fields we've included
- A properly formatted From address - MyCompany@mycompany.com
- No additional copy of the form information coming from the autoresponder

It's set-up correctly. Again, if there is an email address in the "FROM" field in the auto-response area, not only does the person that filled out the form get this message, but an additional copy goes to the client.

Does that actual email address exist on that domain?

yes it does.

If I leave the FROM field blank, the Form Builder PHP scripts grab information for some bogus FROM address. If you want to go offline/non-forum to troubleshoot, LMK.

Here's my problem. I just created a new form. I used an email field but for some reason when I look at the properties it just looks like a regular text field. I've created forms before and from what I recall it is given a label like [email25] or something. This time nothing. The problem is when I try to set up an automatic notification, there's nothing to select in the drop down (as a matter of fact, it just appears blue.)
