Webcalendar seems to mess with my...

Hi -
I admit I am pretty frustrated by now - so please excuse lack of sunshine in this question.

Site: http://shake-and-shine.com/calendarpage.html

I tried the test version of web calendar before i bought it, it seemed to cover everything I need. I build my website, which is not fully launched yet but the calendar is already live. I built the site with HTML Editor and as a last step plopped the calendar in.

BUT when I uploaded it to see the calendar displayed, everything went sideways. In the preview in HTML Editor everything works fine, I get the error message of course, but the rest of my site looks fine. When the calendar is uploaded though, it really messes up my css formatting.

I have read in other threads that web calendar has an issue with tables - which already sucks, as I don't use tables to lay out my site, but I have some legitimate tables on the pages that are used to actually tabulate information (gasp!).
But it also messes with my links including my navigation links. To see where the interference happens, I put CSS formatting piece by piece in a new stripped-down file (instead of using a linked stylesheet) and tried to isolate the calendar from the rest of my formatting with div ids. It still messes with my links - the links below the calendar should be orange too, even after they were visited.

I need help how to keep web calendar from interfering with my formatting!

I am an amateur and supposedly web calendar is meant for church groups and small businesses - how is it possible then that it messes up the formatting of pages that are based on coffee cup themes! Not happy!

Thank you, Monika

Hi there Monika,

I had a look at your page and it looks fine from my point of view. Where exactly should I be seeing the issue?

I have even opened up a few calendar items and they are loading well.

Try placing your calender scripts above your page styling.

Everything looks good for me in my iPhone. Have you tried clearing your browser cache?

Thank you guys for responding! I will try moving my script. Does that help with a linked stylesheet too?

The issue is not with the calendar display but with the links that are NOT part of the calendar. No matter how often I clear my browser cache and reload the page, the color of the links below the calendar is black and not orange, as the email link above the calendar. Are the ones below the calendar orange when you open the page?

In the full page layout - not visible yet - a lot of links of different div sections were suddenly messed up when I uploaded the calendar. In the full version, I have a linked stylesheet.

Thanks, Monika

If your swap the locations of your script code and style sheet link you should be good to go.

Thank you, moving the script helped with resolving the link issue. I appreciate the help.

I will post another thread though - I still have a table border issue :)
