This seems like really lazy marketing to me - all questions about what's new seem to just say "improved component workflow" this doesn't explain anything... Surely after programmers have put all the time in a video wouldn't be beyond the realms of possibility demonstrating what is different and why this is worth investing in - especially now you are monetizing all the upgrades (past 1 year)? To expect people to download the demo and FIND OUT FOR THEMSELVES is lazy and it would be possible for people to miss something that you've worked hard (presumably) to produce.

Someone has to have explained the update internally - how much would it take to demonstrate this and if you have produced such a video why has it not been promoted to make it easy to find?

Just installed v5 on a laptop to see if it's worth it to me - it has a Click here to access hints and tips which I did thinking it might help to see what's new in V5 and the webpage it takes me to asks "Better yet, why not switch to V4? It is totally worth it!"

I saw that but considering its "revolutionary" nature I'm surprised it justifies just a couple of sentences of general comments rather than a detailed breakdown of what's actually new. I don't think I've used the components side of things in the past.

* Get more components still results in a page that says coming soon
* The blurb says plug and play - not sure what i'm supposed to be plugging
* It also says drag and drop but I can't see anything to drag and drop - I can click add to project and insert into canvas...

By New Workflow does it just mean a new way of adding components to a project? What workflow steps/options are there? Are there new components in version 5 that aren't there in version 4? If so which?

@Steve,

I can understand your point. I have often felt they do not give enough information at the basic level. The tutorials seem to assume you have a very thorough knowledge of creating web pages. This would include all frameworks with all their subtleties. But they are a small company and may not have the resources to provide more.

What a lot of companies in this position do (and it can work really well) is to establish a small group of users that have experience with their products and a good eye for detail (and time on their hands) and give them free upgrades in exchange for creating resources for them - bring them into the fold of an "insider" programme and get them to do some of the leg work. You can also give them advanced views and use them for beta testing, they start to help direct the future of their product range (sure you'll get some that don't "perform" in the role all you've lost is 1 years licence fees but generally it works extremely well multiplying the size of resources available to you as a company.

Because I haven't seen the evidence of the resources I have suggested could be created through that route.
