Update subscription renewal - Page 3

I think that the last paragraph of Suzanne's first post in this thread still applies. It may, however, be best to hold fire on this until the expiry date is reached. Suzanne did it for me for Site Designer, but the program still shows an expiry date of 12 months from when I renewed rather than 12 months from the original expiry date. It seems that the update subscription system is still not sorted for this.

Hi Frank
If you take another 12 months licence would it not make sense that the new renewal period would now start from that date so would only show 12 months from the date of the renewal ?

The popup shows me I expire in 14 day(s). Says "To renew your support subscription, please visit your products page."

The problem is there is only a download button there but no renew subscription button.

So, I have no idea how you would renew. I know I renewed before, but it is no obvious how it is done. Assume that the day it is run out a button will appear.

We have not implemented a way to renew early. Once the time expires an order link will become available within your account. We didn't think people would want to renew early so we didn't added it before. If you want to renew early please open a support ticket and I can take care of you.

Hi Frank, as discussed in your currently opened support ticket, our webmaster is working to adjust the date. I will respond back to your support ticket once the date is corrected by my team member.

That would indeed make sense in the following two circumstances:
1. if one were purchasing a further license for the program itself or
2. if one's update/support subscription had already expired.

Renewal is, of course, not purchasing a licence to use the program, but simply a payment for 12 months of updates/support of the program for which one already has a licence in perpetuity.

I paid early as in the last paragraph of Suzanne's post of June 5 in this thread. Until the system is finally sorted regarding such early payments, it seems that the Actons > Preferences won't reflect the full extra 12 months purchased - but happily it does get rid of the wretched nag renewal popup..

My renewal date in Actions > Preferences has now been fixed to reflect the full 12 months.

I assume therefore there is now no cause to hesitate to take up Suzanne's offer in her first post today in this thread, where she said, "If you want to renew early please open a support ticket and I can take care of you."

This is yet another example of the excellent service of the CoffeeCup team.

Suzanne,

Thanks for the input. I'll just wait it out no big deal. I just tend to check when I get a notice for renewal on things. I have been late or missed them before and try to stay ahead.

You're the Best!

Your license is perpetual you can use it forever. If you don't want to receive updates just tell them and they will remove your subscription for upgrades, really simple. But you will not ever get any upgrades to the version you have. This was made clear over a year ago. Where have you been for all that time?
