Structure Data Usage

I'm working to improve the SEO for my site. I used the Coffeecup Website Tool. Listed under Urgent: "Semantic Data: By adding descriptive code or markup to the HTML of web pages, search engines can get a better understanding of what your content is about. This better understanding helps the search engines to display content in a useful, relevant way. For more information, click here" which goes to https://www.coffeecup.com/help/articles/implementing-structured-data/.
I tried to use Site Designer Structured Data, but when I exported my site and placed it online, the information I put in structured data was just written at the top of the screen in code and in plain letters. Obviously, I'm not doing something right.
Is Structured Data in Site Designer for creating a new page only? It's asking for data that doesn't necessarily fit what I'm trying to do, so maybe I should be "adding descriptive code or markup to the HTML" another way. Any ideas?

After finally using the Google Test button, it's becoming more clear. Sometimes you need to look to the left. :-)

Now that I used the Google Test and it passed without errors, I'm still getting this strange result. See the jpg attached to see how it shows up at the top of my website. Am I doing something wrong?

Thats from the whatever you have in your header section, not being enclosed in brackets whatever they need wherever you got that from

check wherever you got that snippet from and maker sure you have copied all the required code (including brackets)

Hi Wayan,

That isn't a snippet. I used Site Designer's Structured Data and that's what it did.

Snippet is just a word this is a snippet.

I don't understand then what you have done except that the text you are seeing shouldn't be in your header like that that's why you are seeing it on your page

I used the Structure Data tool as shown on the attached picture.

I think I see the problem. I edited the html created by Site Designer. It is placing the Structured Date after the Custom Code Settings (Page Manager) in the code. I placed the Structured Data ahead of the Custom Code Settings and it no longer was a problem. It sounds like I should report it as an issue.

It might be worth first checking that the problem was with Site Designer itself as there seems to be a discrepancy between
(a) structureddataresults.JPG and
(b) structuredatasnapshot.JPG.

(a) shows the picture reference as https://threeoaksvineyard.com/images/ThreeOaksOG.jpg
(b) shows the picture reference as http://threeoaksvineyard.com/images/ThreeOaksOG.jpg

The difference (http - https) may perhaps mean that (a) did not result from SD but from something else.

Frank,

Good observation. In the Structured Data section it was listed as http://, so I just tested wtih https:// and obtained the same result. :(

It was worth the try and glad to hear any other thoughts on why this is happening or if I didn't test correctly.
