Site Designer Crashing More and More...

Has anyone experienced SD version 5, build 3490 crashing on a M1 Mac? Ever since updating to Monterey I've had more and more times when SD suddenly crashes. It never seems to be the same action that causes the crashes. I asked about an M1 version coming out and was told it runs fine under Rosetta 2. Well, it seems it doesn't run so fine in Rosetta 2.

Has anyone heard if there is an update coming any time soon?

I've sent in support requests some time ago but was told everyone was on vacation... guess I'm venting a bit. Sorry.

I don't know so much about different Mac versions. Does your problem resemble the ones posted here:

If it does, maybe Brian's reply might help.

It also happens on a PC especially running windows 11, sometimes even if everything is ok (as in saving and closing properly) next time it opens, one gets that "OOPS" something went haywire message. It happened once for every project that I tried to open, (one after the other) even though they hadn't crashed last time they were worked on.
This could of course be a Windows thingy, not necessarily SD

I know one should really wait to do that Windows 11 thingy but I thought I would just try it out, I'm gonna roll back soon

Mind you on Windows 10 although not the same trouble with crashing and containers leaping about like skippy the bush kangaroo with its tail on fire, it did slow down to almost a standstill after a few hours of continuous use, so I might be better off being scalded than burnt.

Not sure the next update will fix all those things

Thanks for the reply Inger and Wayan Jaya.

Inger the problem doesn't really resemble Frank's issue as it has never crashed on export. It has crashed doing different things like change the colour of a font or adding a container or any number of other things.

Hopefully they will have a fix for all of these issues above soon.

Thanks again to both of you.

That's the same as happens with SD on a PC

I take that to mean that it probably isn't the operating system's fault.

Well you could be right especially as it happens with Mac and PC, it does seem to happen more often with windows 11 than windows 10.
