RSD 2 Beta - updating RSD 1.5 website...

I have a number of active websites that were created (and maintained) in RSD 1.5. I opened one of them in the new RSD 2 Beta, and couldn't find the new features, like how to sync things like the footer across all the pages.

Do the older RSD 1.5 websites need to be updated to get the full RSD 2 experience?

And if "yes", then how?

I'm thinking of upgrading to RSD 2 from RSD 1.5. I too have some current projects and I want to make sure they'll be ok in v2.

Also, I purchased RSD 1.5 in June last year. Is an upgrade to 2 free?

I haven't got the upgrade yet, but if it is anything like RFF and RBB, you need to open the Contents pane, and you should see three tabs; Elements, Components and Symbols. It's the 'symbols' that can be inserted on all pages and updated just once.

They will work just fine. All you have to do is open the project and save. Easy peasy! :)

Since you purchase is more than 45 days old, you would need to purchase v2. The good news is you get it for only $69 as apposed to $189. ;)

You will totally love the power of v2!!! :)

I'm also looking for this feature in the new RSD Ver2 beta, any pointers or help would be appreciated.

Hi All

I found what I was looking for under Content/Symbols. Thanks to the development team, it's a great useful new feature
