Quick question with HTML and VSD

Hello. I hope everyone is staying healthy and safe :). I still use the original Visual Site Designer (I did buy the current Site designer 2.5, but have not started to use it yet).

With VSD I am trying to add a video player to a page and as Flash is no longer supported online I can no longer use the video player I made with CC Flash video player. I changed my 9 video clips to mp4's and am trying to find a free program where it will let me add the 9 small video clips to one player with a menu that I can add to a new HTML page within my VSD program.

Any suggestions?

Thanks ;) .

The only suggestion I have is that the current version of SD is it is version 5 not 2.5 if you do decide to use your version you might find it difficult to get support for it.

Yes I know 5 is the newer version, thanks :) .

As I said I'm not using it in this case. If anyone has any suggestions regarding my original question I'd greatly appreciate it :) .

Thanks :) .

Also wanted to ask. Does anyone have a suggestion as to how I make a clickable photo play a small wave file without another page opening up? I used to be able to in VSD but since flash is a no go any longer I changed the files to wav and am trying to figure that out.

Again, thanks for any advice.

:)

Good morning Always Learning,

First of all your in the wrong forum thread you should be in the VSD Forum.

Further to that VSD is discontinued application with no support. Best thing I could suggest is put the wave in a html element and place it on your page. You will need to hand code the button, there are plenty of examples if you google it.

Always Learning,

Hello,

I have read your messages for a moment and I notice that you are working with VSD and apparently you do not want to abandon it. Believe me the solution is the new Site Designer v5.0 where the possibilities are constantly being expanded.

It is a long learning curve, but once you have the layout flexbox and css grid you can completely convert it in an instant.

Send your link from your website so I can estimate what the layout might look like.

I usually use the bootstrap 4 framework and hope that the Tailwindcss framework is integrated into the RSD where you can adjust all classes and a lighter framework

With friendly greetings
Stephane

Hi Stephane,

Thanks for your input.

The site is TrilogyofTerror.com. It's just my own little fan site of an old cheesy TV horror movie ;) .

Thanks again :) .

Hey,
I have seen your website and it does not look very structured. Think about what's relevant to your homepage. Which pages do you want to include, start with this first.
I think of the following menu items: "home", "your bio", "your services", "portfolio", "contact"
On your homepage be sure to include the following sections: section "header" with a clear title about what are your page and a tagline. then some facts in the form of figures, a section "bio" in the form of a story, then a section "services", keep in mind testimonials and for which clients you have worked, then a portfolio.
The benefits are listed with a CTA on your homepage
As a last contact (contact form) + email is the minimum and as social proof your social links
Write your tekst as the PROBLEM - AGITATE - SOLVE or de A = Attention, I = Interest, D = Desire and A = Action

I think I got you started a bit. First start and think what is on my homepage and always think as a visitor would think. What Is In It For Me (WIIFM)
