What version of SD are you using as they just recently made it compatible with Big Sur.

A fresh release of Site Designer is now available. Here are the main improvements and fixes for version 5.0.3360.
* All macOS apps are now compatible with macOS 11 (Big Sur)

I took your version of the .rsd file and downloaded it to my Big Sur Mac and compiled it. I first went to the exported folder and opened the index file and the site worked correctly thus finding the export ok.
I then copied the folder to my ISP Netlify and it now works great as a site.

Hi Jay,

I'm using version 5.0 3448 which is the one that shows up on my "Software I Own" page.

Aha - something just happened!!!

I tried again but instead of using containers and adding background pictures, I used a picture container and added a picture and this showed up on neferium.com when I uploaded it.

I had another image that was loaded in the background of the picture container which would be visible if I scroll (as was seen in my preview), but that didn't show up. Only the image that was in the picture container.

Surely, containers should display whatever is put in them, even images? I also noticed that a couple of folders were not created/uploaded which were CSS and JS folders. When I upload the complete site, I don't get these folders but when I did a single page with a picture container, these files were present.

What's a picture container?

Your version seem right for Big Sur. Were you able to open your index file from the export folder on your hard drive. That will show you if the compile worked. I was able to compile your file and place it on my ISP as shown in my last post.

A background image will not show if your CSS files are not loaded because the CSS is where it has the path to the image.

Hello Maz !

Inger has informed me of the issue you are experiencing, I have a copy of your .rsd file and I have set up an sdrive area for you with your account for "staging" your website.

I would like to continue this topic in our support area, so that our developers can have a look at what is happening.

I will open a support ticket for you.

See you in the support area.

Hans
warmest regards,

Hans,

Thank you for that...

Not sure what I should be doing though. I can see the files there but what is the next step?

Hi Maz, Not sure if you get a notification email, but if not, click on your name at the top right on this page and select 'Your support room'. You should see an open support thingie there. If you still don't know what to do, click on that topic and ask. You will probably get a reply sometime during the day.
Ha en riktig god dag!

That's not a container that's just an image
