Hello,

I installed the new free component Multi-Level Navigation Menus and I am trying to use it. Is there any easy way to increase the number of submenus ? I want to add more elements to some of the menus. I have been looking for a parameter but I am not able to find it.

Thanks a lot,
Sergio

Hi Sergio,
Try coping the element you want more of.
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

Thanks for answering.

I found some parameters in some specific elements, it works well when you decrease the number of elements but it works wrong when you increase the number of menus and submenus. Also, I tried to copy and paste elements from one menu to another to modify the initial configuration but it does not work well, the elements copied are always being shown. I am trying to find the code that shows and hides each submenu. I suppose I have to add some code but I do not know where.

If anyone has any ideas it is wellcome .

It would be easier to help you if you could let us know which menus you want to modify and which framework you would like to use. And the modification you want to achieve: is it creating more top menu items or more dropdown items?

Don't copy and pasdte the elements you want adding

Select one of the elements above (that contains the drop down and duplicate it, then you can change the txt accordinlly

Alternatively
look at the ID of the element you pasted it will have been given an appended number or something,

you then need go to the trigger for that dropdown and make sure that it matches the new ID on the new drop down.

Forget the ID thingy, it doesn't have them,, the trick is to duplicate

Thanks a lot for your answer. You are right , duplicating works. However, it has a limitation you only can do that in the same menu. I don't know how I can add a drop down and element when in one of the elements there is not any submenu. I have tried to move a submenu from one menu to other but sometimes it works sometimes it fails.

Do you have any idea?

btw: Where do I check the new ID?

Thanks a lot!

It may be easier to duplicate a menu item that already has a submenu than creating a new submenu where there isn't one already. Just make sure you observe the ID changes and all the other details that Wayan mentioned.
If you would let us know which menu you are working on and in which framework, our help could be more precise, mentioning class names, IDs, etc.
