Has anyone had any experience embedding AllWebMenus into a RSD project? I've got a few questions.

Thanks,
Bob

Hi Bob,

From a quick look at AllWebMenus i cannot find where you would export the menu for regular html use. There is a lot of options for WordPress, Drupal, Joomla and many other addins. I would contact the developer and ask them if there is a way to export there menu for a website that is hand coded.

Hi Bob, hi Steve,
I found out that there is also a so-called "generic" export. Unfortunately, nowhere is it to see what it looks like. That's why I wrote to the manufacturer.

Hi Bob

I use AllWebMenus all the time. There is sadly no automated way of adding the code to RSD accurately.

I have a Synology NAS system running a Linux Web server that I use for my development.

I create a website for the new website on the server and link the menu to that folder using AllWebMenus (see Compile Properties/Folders & Files) You can also link it to the export folder of RSD. Once you have done that you run the "Compile Menu" to copy all the files to that folder.

To link the menu , I use Microsoft's discontinued Expression Web Ver 4.00 to do a search and replace to embed the AllWebMenus code in the correct place on all the pages. It takes a few seconds to add it to as many pages as you want.

You can download Expression Web for free from Microsoft's web site here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-za/downloa … x?id=36179

If you are not sure how to do this, I will create a Video screen capture of the complete process for you.
