An article from the Sunday Magazine was posted on the New York Times site this morning. The writing is excellent but my main concern is how text is integrated with images, particularly the interactive map. Scroll through and take a look:

The first thing you are going to need to do is have an image for the big background that is high definition & a MINIMUM of 2000px wide by around 1300px high (the more the merrier.)

The images you already have for the volcanoes will be reasonable for the middle sections that slide over the large image, but if possible they should ideally be a bit larger too, because if they start to go over 1200px wide they go a bit fuzzy woozy..
