I am fairly new to SD V3 (one week experience so far). Previously I was using RSD V2.5 and Menu Builder for dropdown menus. Now that Menu Builder is no more, what is a good technique for getting dropdown menus in SD V3?
I'm fairly new to this as well. In order to find an easy way in, I have started with transforming menus and other components written for RSD to SD3.
Take a look at the two I made recently: https://www.dropbox.com/s/tv38tnh2e6wv0 … 3.zip?dl=0
The simple one has just been changed from RSD system to SD3. The Magellan one I had to rebuild from scratch - in SD3 - because the original RFF one was too complicated with several rows and columns. For me that was a job that took nearly 2 days, with trial and error, but I guess it can be made much quicker when I (or you ) get the hang of it.
If you think you can use them, you are welcome to them.

Hi Darell I did answer you in another thread with the exact same question.
You have to create a project in foundation framework then you can use this:

Inger, I'm trying to use your BootStrap DropDown menu but am hung up trying to add additional dropdowns. I"ve tried copying the List Item Container thinking it would contain all the elements but it's just stacking elements. Also I don't see where to add a unique ID for additional elements. Can you help?
Hi Carolyn, Which menu exactly are you interested in? I have two such menus on the sharing page (first URL in my signature), and then the same ones, but as ready-made components, on the other site in my signature.

Select a drop-down list container from the main menu and duplicate it. Then adjust the toggle trigger to open the duplicated drop down ID

Actually, they are all done the same way. Open the container with the ID 'collapsibleNavbar' and find a List Item Container that has a dropdown. Duplicate it, and go to the text link inside it. It will probably have an ID like 'navbardrop2-copy-1' or so. Correct the name of it to 'navbardrop3' or whichever is the next available number.

Inger, I downloaded Dropdown menu (BS) Demo from your Sharing site
OK, See if you are able to do what I have described in the post above here. I cannot do it for you and send the file unless I know that you have updated to the latest version of SD.

Thank you both so much Inger and Wayan! With your help I think I have it fixed now. I have loaded and installed the last update but haven't used it because the new Elements Tree confused me.
Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
