By the way which framework are you using?

although they are all ok I would suggest that you use the "Foundation" framework as it is probably the best one for doing what you need to do and is the one that a lot of other users use and you will probably get the most help with from other users should you need it.

As tempting as the "Frameworkless" one might look especially the desktop down version, In my opinion, that would be one of the most difficult one's to use for your purposes as it would require a lot of additional work custom css/js and HTML elements

Coffeecup has a basic tutorial with text and videos on how to take your first steps with Site Designer (We call in SD for short). Here is the link: https://www.coffeecup.com/help/articles … -designer/
I would say leave all those components behind for a while, and any ready-made templates too, until you know some basics, which you will pick up while working with this instruction. It uses the framework Foundation, but it works well in e.g. Bootstrap too.
And use this forum! We are a lot of users who have been here a while and we like to help. ;)

Worked through about half of the basic video today. Helped a lot. Thanks, Inger. Will finish on the morrow. Not saying I accomplished much, but I did manage to follow the instructions and saw some results. Some positives!

That is a good start! :) Go on and finish it without even thinking of your own project, that comes afterwards, I'd say.

And before you actually start working on your own site, I think you need to make a plan on how to structure it all. And you will need some clever site navigation so that visitors don't get lost.

Inger,
Your Simple menu (BS) from your Sharing page is just what I want but I'm using Foundation. Would I be able to use it in a Foundation based website?

Hi Carolyn,

Is it this one: https://eikweb.com/sharing/bs-menu-sd3/index.html ?

You won't be able to use it in Foundation just 'from the rack'. But let me have a go at it and see what I can do...

All the components you need are in Foundation already
