I use Fallback First for the base site of whatever I’m creating/programming. It just makes sense. There may be browsers that happen to not accommodate grid.
For quite some time, I haven't worried about Internet Explorer. The majority of the world isn’t using it. (I saw one site that said as of January, IE/Edge only has 3.2% browser market share.) I have always assumed that Fallback First will accommodate IE to some degree. However, I'm doing a site on the Foundation Framework right now. When I previewed the site today, IE failed to render the navigation dropdown menu and did not even show the flex containers correctly.
While I haven’t really worried about IE in the past couple of years, I don’t see any reason to worry about IE at all now.
